The Experiences of Parental Divorce on the Psychological Well-Being among High School Students

High school students in China who have experienced parental divorce may face significant psychological and life challenges. The purpose of this study is to explore understand the impact on well-being among Chinese high students. This qualitative adopted a descriptive phenomenological approach. A total eight participants were selected through purposive sampling technique Qinghai Province, China. data was gathered using semi-structured interview gain in-depth understanding obtain sufficient information from participants. research collected answer two questions: 1) what are experiences divorced families? 2) how does affect students’ well-being? following themes identified experience their families: difficulties adapting with new family environment, becoming overly independent, 3) rising economic problems after divorce. Four also well-being: low satisfaction happiness, emotional instability, sense insecurity, 4) arising mental health risks problems. will prepare organizations that provide services counsellors better thoughts, feelings, behaviours affected by them necessary supports.
